Senior Security Operations Engineer

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We're working with a growing IT Solutions Provider that's expanding its Managed Security Services practice and is hiring multiple Senior Security Operations Engineers.

This is a highly technical, customer-facing engineering role supporting enterprise clients across a wide range of security technologies and complex environments. You'll serve as a Tier 3 escalation resource, work directly with customers during critical incidents, and help enhance the organization's managed security services through engineering, automation, and continuous platform improvements.

This opportunity is ideal for someone coming from a VAR, MSP, MSSP or consulting background who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working across multiple customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex security incidents and technical issues
• Support enterprise customers across SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud, identity, and network security technologies
• Troubleshoot, implement, and optimize security solutions across diverse customer environments
• Assist with detection engineering, threat hunting, automation, and security platform enhancements
• Participate in customer meetings, architecture discussions, and major incident response efforts
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC Analysts while helping improve operational processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of cybersecurity, SOC, or security engineering experience
• Experience supporting enterprise customer environments within a VAR, MSP, MSSP, or consulting organization preferred.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud environments
• Experience with one or more SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or Elastic
• Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR solutions including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or SentinelOne
• Experience with incident response, detection engineering, threat hunting, or security automation
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work directly with enterprise customers
