Title: Heavy Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL Area - Onsite / Field Based
Compensation: $85,000-$135,000+ Bonuses, Depending on Experience

We are an established and growing construction company in South Florida looking to add an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic to our team.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy construction equipment and is comfortable working with the increasingly computerized systems found in newer CAT, John Deere, and similar machines.
We are looking for someone who can be the go-to technician when equipment goes down - diagnosing the problem, making the necessary repairs, and helping keep our projects moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment
- Perform diesel, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic repairs
- Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify equipment faults and error codes
- Troubleshoot electronically controlled engines and machine systems
- Respond to equipment breakdowns at construction sites
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Identify the root cause of equipment failures and complete necessary repairs
- Maintain service and repair records
- Work closely with field teams to minimize equipment downtime
What You Need
- Experience repairing heavy construction or diesel equipment
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Experience with computerized diagnostics strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, CASE, Volvo, or similar heavy equipment
- Ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently
- Comfortable working both in the shop and at active construction sites
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work onsite in the Deerfield Beach / South Florida area
