Title: Tax Senior | (Leading Ultra-High Net Worth Wealth Management Firm | Shorter Busy Season)

Location: 100% Remote (Must be located in the US)

Compensation: Up to $110k base + 10-15% discretionary bonuses

Requirements: 3-6+ years tax experience (HNW focus), CPA Required

We are a nationally recognized, rapidly growing, partner-owned wealth management firm serving ultra-high net worth families, single family offices, foundations, and endowments—with a dedicated tax team of approximately 50 professionals spread across the country. We are hiring a Tax Senior to support our UHNW client base in a fully remote capacity.

This is not a traditional CPA firm. It's a planning-focused, family office environment where tax professionals work hand-in-hand with wealth advisors, estate planners, and investment teams to deliver integrated, holistic strategies for some of the most complex client situations in the country—multigenerational wealth, family governance, trust structures, business interests, and sophisticated investment portfolios.

If you're ready to step off the public accounting treadmill, this is a rare opportunity to join a firm that has more than doubled its headcount over the past five years and treats its people as its greatest asset. And if busy season burnout is driving your search, this is worth a serious look—peak workloads here are real but meaningfully shorter and more contained than what most public accounting professionals endure. When busy season wraps, it actually wraps.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • 100% Remote (Must be located in the US)
  • Competitive Compensation: up to $110k base + discretionary bonuses up to 10-15%
  • Shorter Busy Season – Peak periods are intense but contained, not months-long marathons
  • Off-Season Balance: Dedicated time for planning and strategy, not just grinding through extensions
  • UHNW Clientele: Deep exposure to complex individual, trust, partnership, and estate matters
  • Family Office Environment: Collaborate with advisors, estate planners, and investment professionals
  • Generous Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, 401k, parental leave, education support, and more
  • Certified B Corporation: A firm that takes culture and purpose seriously

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for UHNW individuals, trusts, partnerships, and related entities
  • Participate in tax planning strategies tied to broader wealth management and estate planning goals
  • Coordinate with financial planning and investment teams on integrated client strategy
  • Communicate proactively with clients on tax matters and planning opportunities
  • Stay current on tax law changes impacting high-net-worth and multigenerational wealth situations

Qualifications

  • Active CPA
  • 3–6+ years of public accounting experience
  • HNW or UHNW focus (ideally 50% or more)
  • Strong knowledge of individual/1040 taxation; trust and partnership exposure a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This role is ideal for a tax professional who thrives on complexity and high-touch client work—but is ready for better balance, a collaborative non-public environment, and a firm that's genuinely invested in its people for the long term.

If you are a Tax Associate, Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or Director, we encourage you to apply as well — we may have additional opportunities available at your level.
