We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a publicly traded SaaS organization building scalable, cloud-native technology used by insurance and financial services teams nationwide. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys backend-heavy development, takes ownership of complex systems, and wants to contribute to modern, business-critical platforms while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
This is a full-stack role with a strong backend emphasis (approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend). The position is remote for candidates based in Florida, with quarterly in-person collaboration at a Florida office.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js

- Work with modern data stores including MongoDB and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical direction
- Lead by example through code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Take ownership of key initiatives, helping manage priorities, risks, and timelines
- Troubleshoot complex issues and deliver well-documented, maintainable solutions
What We’re Looking For:
-
5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a clear backend focus
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript / Node.js
- Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of React (not a front-end-heavy role)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with Git-based source control (GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
- Cloud platform experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the SDLC
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts and support junior engineers
- Experience with financial or transaction-based systems is a plus
- Insurance industry experience is helpful but not required
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $130,000 – $160,000, depending on experience
- Remote Flexibility
- Annual bonus / profit-sharing potential
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
- 401(k) with employer match
- Flexible PTO plan
- Standard 40-hour work weeks
