Preconstruction Manager – Commercial / Multifamily Construction $120-$155k

A top-tier Commercial & Multifamily General Contractor in the Nashville market is expanding its team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of large-scale ground-up projects.
We’re looking for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join a high-performing team and play a key role in bringing major projects from concept to construction. This is an opportunity to get involved early, work alongside senior leadership and project teams, and have a meaningful impact on projects from the very beginning.
What You’ll Do
-Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual design through GMP/bid and project handoff
-Develop and manage detailed estimates, budgets, scopes, and bid packages
-Review plans, specifications, and subcontractor proposals to identify scope gaps and opportunities
-Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor bids
-Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams
-Participate in value engineering, constructability reviews, and design development
-Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and overall project planning
-Provide accurate cost analysis and communicate project risks and opportunities to leadership
-Help establish a seamless transition from preconstruction into operations
What We’re Looking For
-3+ years of preconstruction, estimating, or related commercial construction experience
-Experience with commercial and/or multifamily construction
-Strong understanding of plans, specifications, scopes, and construction means & methods
-Ability to build and analyze detailed estimates and budgets
-Strong subcontractor and vendor communication skills
-Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
-Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
-Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
