Job Title: Staff Accountant (Public Accounting Experience Required)
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Compensation: (85k - 105k) + Bonus + Full Benefits

We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant with 2+ years of public accounting experience to join a growing and collaborative accounting team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
- Analyze general ledger activity and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support process improvement and internal control initiatives
- Prepare and file various state and local tax returns as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of public accounting experience required
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience with audit or general ledger accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
