Audit Manager – Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audits

Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based)

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 + Bonus (DOE)

Employment Type: Full-Time


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager with a strong background in Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) audits to join a growing, people-first public accounting firm. This is a fully remote opportunity where you’ll work alongside leadership that understands the demands of large firms—but has intentionally built something better.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Employee Benefit Plan audits (401(k), 403(b), pension plans, etc.)
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and build strong relationships
  • Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and compliance requirements
  • Ensure engagements are completed efficiently and on schedule
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
  • Stay current on DOL and ERISA regulations and industry trends

Qualifications

  • CPA required
  • 5–8+ years of public accounting experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on EBP audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA and Department of Labor (DOL) requirements
  • Experience managing multiple engagements and leading teams
  • Strong client communication and leadership skills
