Job Title: Remote Business Manager (Music Focused)

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Business Manager with a strong background in the music industry to join our growing remote team. This role will work closely with high-profile and emerging clients in music, managing their day-to-day finances, long-term planning, and business affairs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations for music clients, including budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with accountants, attorneys, talent managers, and other professionals to ensure seamless client service.
• Manage royalty statements, touring income/expenses, and other music-related revenue streams.
• Provide strategic guidance on investments, entity formation, and long-term financial planning.
• Maintain accurate books and records; review reconciliations and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients, understanding both their artistic goals and financial needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business management, accounting, or financial advisory—preferably in the music or entertainment industry.
• Deep understanding of music income streams (royalties, touring, publishing, sync, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus).
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and entertainment-specific financial systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and client service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with a high degree of accountability.
