Role Overview
As a Tax Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing complex tax engagements for a sophisticated client base that includes high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and private companies. You'll lead compliance work, contribute to strategic advisory efforts, and support junior team members in developing their technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns (individual, partnership, corporate)
- Assist with tax planning and consulting for HNW individuals and businesses
- Handle partnership taxation matters including allocations, basis tracking, and structuring
- Supervise and support tax staff, fostering their growth and development
- Communicate directly with clients and collaborate internally to deliver high-quality service
- Remain up to date on tax regulations and contribute to firmwide knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
- CPA license required
- 5–7+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong technical background in partnership and individual taxation
- Experience working with mid-sized or large privately held companies
- Prior experience managing tax engagements and mentoring staff
- Comfortable in a fully remote, paperless work environment
- Clear communication and a proactive client service mindset
