Tax Associate / Senior Tax Associate
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days In Office)
Schedule: Flexible Hybrid Work Environment
PTO: Up to 7 Weeks Annually
A growing, privately owned CPA firm in Houston is looking to add a Tax Associate or Senior Tax Associate to its expanding team. What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for a diverse client portfolio
- Work with closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, high-net-worth individuals, and other complex entities
- Assist with tax planning, research, and consulting projects
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff across multiple engagements
- Stay current on tax law changes and identify planning opportunities for clients
- Contribute to process improvements and the continued growth of the tax practice
Qualifications
For Tax Associate:
- 1+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA track or CPA eligibility preferred
For Senior Tax Associate:
- 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Experience handling more complex tax returns and client engagements
- CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred
- Ability to work independently while mentoring junior staff
