Job Title: SALT Tax Director

Role Summary: Continue to build out & service our SALT Practice

Compensation: Up to $260k base + bonus & benefits

We're a privately owned CPA firm out Chicago with 250+ employees that has fully embraced the remote model & pathways to Partner remotely too. Our SALT practice continues to expand & looking for a Director level individual to join us.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review multi-state tax compliance (income/franchise, sales and use tax, etc.)
• Deliver consulting services across a variety of SALT areas, including nexus, apportionment, tax planning, credits and incentives, and audit support
• Participate in and oversee tax preparation as needed
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across multiple industries
• Mentor and develop junior staff
• Contribute to practice growth and client relationship management

Qualifications

• Strong experience in State & Local Tax (SALT)
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and relationships
• Interest in both compliance and consulting work
