Audit Senior – Governmental Audit

Fully Remote/Hybrid | $80K–$120K Base Salary | 4 Weeks PTO | Full Benefits

Locations: Must be in Houston, Austin or Dallas

Operating in all three major cities in Texas we are a boutique CPA firm exclusively focused on providing audit and advisory services to governmental entities, including municipalities, school districts, public authorities, and other public sector organizations. Because of our specialized focus, we’ve built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality client service while maintaining a collaborative and balanced work environment for our team.

As we continue to grow, we are looking to add an Audit Senior to our hybrid/fully remote team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys governmental auditing and wants to grow with a stable, people-focused firm that values quality work, teamwork, and long-term employee development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support governmental audit engagements from planning through issuance
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports
• Perform compliance testing and assist with Single Audits under Uniform Guidance
• Communicate directly with clients and develop strong working relationships
• Mentor and support junior staff members throughout engagements
• Collaborate with managers and partners on technical and client service matters

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting audit experience
• Governmental audit experience preferred
• Single Audit experience is a plus
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment
