This is a fully remote opportunity open to qualified candidates anywhere in the U.S., with occasional travel for team or client meetings if desired—not required.

The Opportunity:

We are hiring immediately for a Senior Tax Manager – Real Estate to lead and deliver complex tax services to real estate-focused clients, primarily partnerships, LLCs, S-Corps, and their owners. This role blends technical expertise with leadership, client advisory, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax compliance and strategic planning for clients with real estate-focused pass-through entities
  • Review and lead engagements involving:
  • IRC §754 Elections
  • AAR (Audit Adjustments) Applications
  • Waterfall Calculations
  • Special Allocations
  • Cost Segregation Studies
  • Provide timely and proactive consulting and tax strategy to high-profile clients and HNW individuals
  • Review work prepared by staff and senior team members and provide mentoring and coaching
  • Identify and communicate planning opportunities that minimize tax liabilities and enhance client value
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular contact, responsiveness, and delivery of high-quality service
  • Contribute to process improvements and firm-wide tax initiatives


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • Master’s in Taxation or Accounting preferred

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in real estate tax
  • Proficiency in federal and multi-state taxation for pass-through entities and their owners
  • Strong command of real estate tax strategies including IRC §754, cost segregation, and complex allocations
  • Prior experience managing teams and complex client engagements


Certifications:

  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) required
  • Additional tax certifications or credentials a plus
