Director of Accounting
Leading SaaS Company | Tampa, FL (Hybrid: 1-2 days/week in office)
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000+ and Profit Sharing

The Role
We're seeking a strategic Director of Accounting to lead our accounting function during an exciting growth phase. This role requires a seasoned professional who can balance both external and internal reporting responsibilities while thinking strategically about our financial operations. You'll manage a team and work closely with executive leadership to drive financial excellence as we scale post-IPO.
What You'll Do
- Oversee external and internal financial reporting with accuracy and strategic insight
- Manage SEC reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
- Lead and develop accounting team members, fostering growth and excellence
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and SOX compliance programs
- Drive process improvements and accounting system enhancements
- Prepare technical accounting memoranda and documentation for complex transactions
- Collaborate with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes
What You Bring
Required:
- CPA certification
- Big 4 public accounting background (audit or advisory) strongly preferred
- Extensive SEC reporting experience
- Proven experience managing and developing teams
- Deep expertise in GAAP and SOX compliance
- Strong background in both external and internal reporting
- Strategic thinking with ability to partner with executive leadership
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
Preferred:
- Experience with publicly traded companies
- SaaS or technology industry background
- Previous Controller or Director-level experience
