Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – Fully Remote (U.S.)

We’re partnered with a modern, 100% virtual CPA firm that is intentionally scaling its tax practice and looking for Tax Managers and Senior Tax Managers who can operate as leaders — not just reviewers or task managers. This is not a “hold the ship together during busy season” role. It’s a strategic hire for someone who wants real ownership, influence, and visibility inside a growing firm.
This is a long-term growth seat working with a high-caliber client base made up of entrepreneurs, founders, and high-net-worth individuals — clients who expect strategic thinking, proactive planning, and a trusted advisor, not just compliance support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading complex tax engagements for entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, and HNW individuals
- Serving as a strategic partner to clients, not just a compliance resource
- Providing review and sign-off on federal and multi-state returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, trusts/estates)
- Playing a key role in team leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and developing senior and staff accountants
- Helping shape internal processes, workflow, and long-term tax strategy as the firm scales
- Acting as a point person on client relationships and internal project execution

- Tax: CCH Axcess or UltraTax
- Workflow: Karbon
- Accounting: QuickBooks Online, Xero
- Document Management: SafeSend, SharePoint, SmartVault
- Communication: Zoom, Teams, Slack
What They’re Looking For
- 6–12+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong background working with HNW / entrepreneur-focused clients
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and operate at a strategic level
- Comfortable taking ownership of client relationships and internal initiatives
- CPA strongly preferred
- Someone who is looking beyond a title — toward partnership and long-term impact
