We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and manage complex cybersecurity projects within a dynamic, cross-functional, and global environment. This 12-month contract role is based in Chicago, IL and requires a strong background in managing high-visibility business and technology projects. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with technology engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, budget-conscious project delivery while driving strategic initiatives, risk mitigation, and the adoption of best practices in project management.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead global teams of employees and onshore/offshore consultants from multiple vendors.

Manage cross-functional project teams including technology engineers, solution architects, business analysts, scrum masters, and application owners.

Partner with business and technology leaders to deliver critical cybersecurity and Infosec projects that align with organizational goals.

Oversee the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact project timelines and success.

Serve as a change agent for project management best practices, driving continuous improvement across teams.

Lead complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines, handling ambiguity and ensuring clarity of execution.

Collaborate with leaders at all levels to define objectives, develop project plans with clear milestones, and track progress.

Simplify complex problems and implement creative solutions for rapid issue resolution.

Anticipate risks and escalate as needed to drive decision-making and adjustments.

Improve efficiency and productivity by liaising with business and technology teams.

Communicate project roadmaps in terms that are meaningful to both business and technology teams to influence and guide the successful implementation of key initiatives.


Required Qualifications:

12+ years of overall experience, with at least 5+ years of demonstrated success leading and managing high-visibility business and technology projects.

Bachelor's Degree (required); PMP or Agile certification is a plus.

Experience in Cybersecurity, Regulatory, or Audit-related projects with an understanding of terminology, information sensitivity, and project expectations.

Proven ability to analyze data—identify patterns, trends, and insights to inform decision-making and guide project execution.

Expertise in project management, with a strong ability to structure and drive complex initiatives across multiple functions and teams.

Experience working within a matrixed organization, driving delivery and change across diverse groups.

Proficiency in project management tools such as ADO Boards/Kanban, PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with PowerBI, MS Forms, and Power Automate.


Preferred Skills:

Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex issues and implement practical, creative solutions.

Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.

Pay Range: $65.00-$73.00 an hour

Duration:12-Month Contract
