Junior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a highly respected downtown consulting firm, that specializes in the acquisition and management of companies across a variety of industries, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO that is an exceptional mentor in the accounting space.

What You'll Be Doing

In this hybrid role, you'll support the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions related to newly acquired companies. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, primarily focused on basic bookkeeping, month-end processes, and using QuickBooks Online for multiple entities.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Minimum 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience
• Accounting diploma (2-year program preferred; 1-year minimum accepted)
• Strong Excel skills: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables
• Comfortable working under pressure during tight month-end deadlines
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong communication skills
• Experience with US-based companies is a plus, but not required

Compensation: Competitive compensation package with a base salary in the range of $55,000 - 60,000 per year depending on experience
