Vice President, Finance | Abbotsford, BC

Our client, a growing and well-established organization, is seeking a Vice President, Finance to join their leadership team in Abbotsford. This is a high-impact onsite role for a senior finance leader who enjoys being close to the business, partnering with operators, and helping build structure, insight, and momentum across a dynamic organization. 

This role offers a strong mix of strategic involvement and hands-on leadership. You’ll work closely with senior leaders across business units, lead the full finance and accounting function, and help ensure the business has the reporting, discipline, and financial visibility it needs to keep growing. If you’re a CPA with strong technical depth, sound business instincts, and a style that is both practical and collaborative, this could be a strong next step.

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead the full finance and accounting function across multiple business units
  • Partner with leadership teams to support operational decisions, planning, and overall business performance
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Prepare timely, accurate reporting for senior leadership, the Board, and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax and financial requirements, including transfer pricing
  • Strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting consistency across the organization
  • Support ERP-related initiatives and help improve systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities
  • Mentor, develop, and support accounting team members


What You Bring

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) and relevant post secondary education
  • Senior-level finance and accounting leadership experience
  • Combination of public practice and industry experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or costing-focused environments is a strong asset
  • Strong working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial operations
  • Experience with ERP systems and implementation projects is an asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. financial and tax compliance requirements
  • A practical, approachable leadership style and the ability to communicate well across all levels of the business
