Job Title: Docketing Clerk

About the Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Docketing Clerk to join our team in our Los Angeles office, with consideration given to candidates based in Orange County. This is a key position that plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our litigation docketing system.
Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain case-related deadlines and information into the docketing system.
- Interpret and apply State, Federal, Local, and individual Judges’ rules to docket entries.
- Calculate and track critical litigation deadlines in accordance with court rules and internal procedures.
- Monitor court filings and updates to ensure docketing records remain current and accurate.
- Provide support to attorneys and legal staff by managing deadlines and flagging potential issues.
- Generate docketing reports as needed for internal tracking and attorney use.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive legal information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of docketing experience in a legal environment.
- Strong working knowledge of State, Federal, Local, and Judges’ rules.
- In-depth understanding of the litigation process and computation of time rules.
- Familiarity with court calendaring systems and docketing software is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with litigation docketing in a law firm or legal department setting.
- Knowledge of e-filing procedures and court systems in California.
