Job Description

 

A global professional services firm seeks a Human Resources Manager to join their dynamic team. The Human Resources Manager is an integral part of the firm's Human Capital & Talent team. This role will be responsible for supporting the office, the Human Capital & Talent department, and the firm by using their experience and understanding of the legislative, judicial, and competitive market landscape, while developing and implementing the Human Capital & Talent strategy for the relevant office, as well as working collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing Human Resources (“HR”) advice and guidance to stakeholders on a range of complex HR matters including employee relations and performance management
  • Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders on firm policies, procedures, and best practices; ensuring compliance with firm policies, procedures, and laws and regulations as required
  • Ensuring successful implementation of strategic Human Capital & Talent initiatives
  • Overseeing the implementation of Human Capital & Talent operational projects, providing advice and guidance where necessary to ensure projects are delivered successfully and by required deadlines
  • Working closely with Staff Development & Training to identify training opportunities for the office; helping design and conduct training and development programs, and supporting the development, implementation, and assessment of ongoing training programs
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that the firm retains

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply federal, state, and local employment laws or court precedents including but not limited to: OSHA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, ADEA, and FMLA
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of traditional human resources functions
  • Display excellent leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to lead a team (i.e., organizing, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making) necessary for effective management 
  • A Bachelor's degree, with a focus in human resources or a related field, preferably
  • A minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible human resources experience
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures
