Maintenance Worker
Full-Time | Multi-Site (Lower Mainland)
Onsite: Minimum 3 days/week
Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping facilities safe, functional, and looking their best? We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Worker to support our multi-site clinics and offices across the Lower Mainland.
In this stand-alone role, you’ll take ownership of a wide variety of maintenance tasks—from quick fixes to planned projects—ensuring our teams and clients experience clean, safe, and well-maintained spaces every day. About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Resources Manager, you’ll review, prioritize, and complete maintenance requests while managing your own schedule across multiple locations. Your work will include hands-on repairs, coordination of vendor services, and ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
General Maintenance & Repairs
You will lead the charge in keeping our facilities operational and well-maintained by:
- Identifying and resolving facility issues quickly and effectively.
- Performing repairs including painting, drywall, basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and flooring.
- Replacing ceiling tiles, installing hardware (e.g., monitor arms, shelving, TV brackets), and securing gym or tall furniture.
- Troubleshooting and repairing furniture, appliances, and clinic equipment.
- Assembling, moving, and organizing office and clinic furniture.
- Responding independently to urgent issues or coordinating with trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, cleaners, security, etc.).
Coordination & Administration
You’ll keep maintenance operations running smoothly by:
- Managing the maintenance ticketing system—reviewing, prioritizing, and closing tasks.
- Coordinating contractor visits and room access with site teams.
- Sourcing cost-efficient materials and recommending solutions to maintenance issues.
- Obtaining vendor quotes, reviewing invoices, and submitting for approval.
- Tracking and organizing tools, equipment, parts, and supply inventories.
- Maintaining locks, keys, access codes, and security lists across all locations.
- Providing back-up support for after-hours alarm monitoring and facility emergencies.
- Submitting daily progress updates and maintaining accurate maintenance records.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Worker, Facilities Technician, or similar hands-on role.
- Strong working knowledge of general repair techniques: basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and work orders.
- Understanding of building infrastructure and mechanical systems.
Skills & Attributes
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for multi-site travel (mileage reimbursed as applicable).
- Must provide and maintain personal hand tools (company supplies role-specific equipment).
- Excellent communication skills—clear, professional, and collaborative.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Skilled problem-solver who can work independently and take initiative.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as required.
