Location: Vancouver
Status: Full-time
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday (occasional evening or weekend work)
May be required to support events, campaigns, or business initiatives.
Salary Range: $75-80K/year
If the candidate meets expectations after six months, there may be an opportunity to take on team management responsibilities, with the role potentially evolving into a Manager position with an annual salary range of $90,000 to $100,000. This opportunity is contingent upon achieving established performance objectives and demonstrating strong project management and people leadership capabilities. The additional duties as Manager ate indicated below.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Lead owns the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the marketing function, guiding integrated campaigns that support organizational growth, brand awareness, lead generation, recruitment, client engagement, and business development objectives.
Acting as the primary point of contact between the marketing team and senior leadership, the Marketing Lead sets priorities, allocates budget, manages vendor and partner relationships, and ensures all marketing activity is aligned with company-level decisions.
The role requires a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who can balance high-level planning with hands-on oversight across digital, social, web, email, events, and employer branding initiatives, while confidently representing marketing in conversations with vendors, stakeholders, partners, and executive leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Own the annual and quarterly marketing strategy, aligning plans with organizational goals and business priorities.
- Set campaign direction, timelines, budgets, and priorities across the marketing team.
- Serve as the key marketing liaison to executive leadership, vendors, stakeholders, and partners, representing marketing in company-level decisions.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal departments to identify marketing opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
- Own brand consistency and governance across all customer and employee touchpoints.
- Evaluate and champion innovative marketing approaches, technologies, and best practices for the organization.
- Make final decisions on campaign direction, creative approach, and resource allocation, and stand behind those decisions with data and rationale.
Marketing Automation & CRM
- Oversee email marketing campaigns and customer nurturing strategy.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Direct audience segmentation and customer journey design.
- Own lead generation pipeline performance and campaign conversion metrics.
- Ensure accurate lead tracking and reporting processes.
Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Own marketing analytics and reporting, ensuring accurate tracking of KPIs including website traffic, lead generation, conversion rates, social media engagement, email performance, and recruitment campaign metrics.
- Build dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Translate data and market trends into strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
- Direct competitor and industry benchmarking analyses.
Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing
- Partner with Human Resources leadership to shape recruitment marketing strategy.
- Own employer branding campaigns to attract top talent.
- Guide digital storytelling and employee engagement content that promotes organizational culture.
- Direct development of recruitment marketing materials for career fairs, hiring campaigns, and workforce initiatives.
- Lead employee engagement and retention communication strategies.
Events & Community Engagement
- Oversee marketing support for conferences, trade shows, recruitment events, webinars, community outreach initiatives, and stakeholder events.
- Approve event promotion campaigns and review post-event reporting.
- Direct event logistics, marketing materials, and brand representation.
- Act as a brand ambassador and senior marketing representative at community and industry events.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Own relationships and negotiations with external vendors including designers, printers, advertising agencies, media partners, digital marketing consultants, videographers, and photographers.
- Negotiate quotes, manage the marketing budget, and oversee vendor deliverables and contracts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- 5-8 years of progressive marketing experience, including experience leading or mentoring team members.
- Demonstrated experience owning integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through execution.
- Experience managing budgets and negotiating with external vendors and partners.
- Experience in digital marketing, content strategy, social media, SEO, website management, and analytics.
- Experience presenting to and advising senior leadership or executive stakeholders.
- Experience supporting recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives is considered an asset.
- Experience working within healthcare, rehabilitation, social services, or professional services environments is considered an asset.

Experience with:
- Microsoft 365 Suite; WordPress or other CMS platforms
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta
- Business Suite
- SEO and keyword research tools
- Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign)
- CRM systems
- AI-enabled productivity and content creation tools
Preferred
- Design experience or strong working knowledge of design principles and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of marketing automation and customer journey mapping.
- Experience with dashboard reporting tools.
- Video editing and multimedia content development experience.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and digital marketing compliance requirements.
