Job Summary

We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents. You will be responsible for providing assessments, recommendations, and equipment prescription. You will also serve as a resource and educator to the Home’s staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment recommendations. You can look forward to our competitive compensation package, which reflects how we value your background, experience, education, and commitment to clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning, equipment use and safety, and strategies to improve function
• Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention, as required

Qualifications

• Registrant in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire
• Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test
• Knowledge/experience in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes
• Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills
• Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families
