Quality Manager for a leading producer of high quality food products, based in Suffolk to manage coach and develop the QA team, alongside maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System and driving continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

·      Assisting the Technical Manager to develop a strategy for the QA Department

·      Promoting the food safety & quality culture through auditing, training, and development of the QA team

·      Management of non- conformances, traceability, quality taste panels, and calibration via the team

·      Assisting with the completion of site validations for all CCP and allergen audits

·      Conducting regular factory technical KPI meetings and driving team engagement through clear and effective communications

·      Managing the weekly/monthly QA budget ensuring targets are met

Essential / Desirable skills include:

·      Experienced Quality Manager within Food Manufacturing

·      Must have chilled foods experience

·      HACCP Level 3

·      Internal auditing trained

·      Knowledge of BRCGS, retailer standards and prior experience of Auditor / retailer / customer facing activities

·      Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, retailer specification systems)

·      Root cause analysis approach to problem solving

The working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with flexibility to meet the needs of the role. The salary is circa £45k per annum plus benefits.
