Position Overview

As a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), you will play a crucial role in supporting the surgical team by acting as the primary scrub person during procedures. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensure the sterile field is maintained, and prepare the operating room using appropriate techniques. This role requires both direct and indirect technical care for patients across the age spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and sterile.
• Act as the primary scrub person during surgeries, facilitating the safe and effective conduct of invasive procedures.
• Maintain constant vigilance to uphold the sterile field throughout procedures.
• Provide direct and indirect technical care to surgical patients.
• Assist in the preparation, transportation, and positioning of patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to their needs during procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in Perioperative/Surgical Services.
• Certification in one of the following:
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
• CPR certification (accepted in addition to BLS).

Schedule and Shift Details

• Full-Time position with rotating day and night shifts.
• Includes weekends and on-call responsibilities.
• Shifts are 8 or 12 hours, based on scheduling needs.
