We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Internal Medicine. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing customer flow throughout the clinic and assisting providers in delivering high-quality, individualized care to a diverse population, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and excels in both clinical and clerical tasks, supporting providers, nurses, and clinic supervisors in achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care:

• Perform rooming procedures, administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
• Collect laboratory specimens, perform phlebotomy, and assist with clinic laboratory tests.
• Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between customers and providers.
• Support prescription refills and assist with prior authorizations.
• Perform x-ray duties (if certified as an x-ray operator).

Clinic Support:

• Support front desk operations, including check-in processes.
• Order and stock medical supplies.
• Assist with general clinic operations as needed.

Collaborative Responsibilities:

• Work closely with providers, nurses, and supervisors to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality care.
• Communicate progress, concerns, and questions to the healthcare team to address customer needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credential.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in performing delegated tasks within the scope of practice.
