Job Title: Agricultural Equipment Operator / Farm Worker

Hourly Rate: $16.93

Job Summary:

The Agricultural Equipment Operator assists with daily farm operations involving crop production, livestock care, equipment operation, and general farm maintenance. This role requires operating various types of agricultural machinery, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and supporting both crop and cattle operations. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Farm Equipment Operation

• Operate farm equipment such as combines, tractors, feed trucks, pay loaders, and farm trucks for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting crops.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Operate feed boxes and pay loaders.
• Haul manure and transport cattle to market as needed.

Crop Production

• Assist with the production of corn, soybeans, and hay.
• Perform harvesting, fertilizing, spraying, and cultivation activities.
• Clean grain bins and assist with grain handling operations.
• Climb ladders, grain bins, and other farm structures as required.

Livestock Care

• Precondition and maintain cattle health.
• Monitor calving and assist with birthing of calves.
• Feed cattle, haul water, mix feed, and monitor livestock health.
• Vaccinate cattle and rotate cattle between pastures.
• Clean pens and maintain livestock facilities.

Maintenance and Groundskeeping

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment, including changing fluids, rotating and checking tires, washing vehicles, changing brakes, and general mechanical upkeep.
• Maintain fences and farm infrastructure.
• Perform ground maintenance such as mowing and weed eating.
• Maintain and clean shop areas and housing grounds.

Work Schedule & Conditions

• Full-time, temporary/seasonal position.
• 30-minute meal break.
• Weekend and holiday work may be required.
• Physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
