Position: Preschool Room Leader

Location: London SE15 3HL

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £28,000 - £29,00

Toddler Room Leader

An exciting position has become available for a full-time Preschool Room Leader based in Southeast London. The successful candidate will earn £28,000 - £29,000 to lead an 8-Place Toddler Room.

Role Requirements

·       A minimum Level 3 qualification

·       At least 3 years’ experience in a Nursery setting

·       Have a true passion for working with children and developing their learning through play

·       A comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS

·       Hold a minimum full and up to date Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), with Toddler Room experience and preferably Room Leader experience.

·       Have a thorough understanding and hands-on experience of the EYFS, child development and Ofsted regulations

·       Show a commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children as well as the highest standards regarding

·       Confidentiality

·       Be able to work collaboratively alongside our team to role model living our mission and values

·       Have excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English


Role Responsibilities

·       Ensuring excellent standards are consistently maintained within your room, and assisting the Manager to do so

·       Support the induction of new team members and actively coach and develop your team through room meetings & daily interactions

·       Identify training needs and development opportunities for your team & yourself and communicate with Manager

·       Pro-active reflection and development of the room and the team

·       Pro-active support of children with additional needs – SEND/ EAL etc

·       Key person responsibilities for your key children

·       Ensuring that the EYFS curriculum is implemented through imaginative, creative and child-led initiatives

·       Ensuring your team are maintaining up to date, accurate and high-quality records, such as planning, observations, learning journeys and next steps

·       Being an exceptional Leader in the Nursery
