Senior Early years practitioner / Deputy Room Leader- Wandsworth

Salary £29000-£30000

Full Time- 8 hour days.

Age Group: 18 months- 3 years

A great opportunity to join a fantastic team at a nursery school in Wandsworth, London. The school caters for children from 18 months - 5 years old and is open 51 weeks of the year. The nursery has a big focus on outdoor learning and regular trips off-site to our local community.

Job description:

• Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues

• Working well with the team

• Innovate with activities and constantly challenge your children's learning and development

• Working effectively and cooperatively alongside our tight-knit team.

• Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.

• Supporting the team in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS and our Nursery Philosophy

• 8 Hour days, working on a shift pattern Monday to Friday

Salary: £29-30k

We also offer:

• 35 days holiday a year (including bank holidays, and nursery closure between Christmas and New Year)

• Paid training including 2 inset days per year

• Funded training to staff who show aptitude and commitment to the role

• 5 days full sick pay

Successful applicants will:

• Be passionate about education and changing children’s lives.

• Have an Early Years Level 3 qualification, or equivalent.

• Have previous experience working with children

• Have a positive outlook (someone who always sees the glass as half full)

The wellbeing of our children is our number one priority so successful candidates will be subject to the relevant police DBS checks.
