 Nursery Deputy Manager - Fulham

Super-Numery Deputy Manager

Nursery Manager in training

Salary up to £40k

Working Day:   7.45-6.30pm Mon-Fri with 1 day off per week

Annual Leave:   4 weeks paid leave + Bank Holidays. 1 additional paid day off for each year of employment up to 1 additional week. A day off on your birthday

Reports to:        Nursery Manager and Area Director

The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Manager in all aspects of running of the Nursery.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

Overall: Work alongside the Manager to:-

i) Ensure excellent standards across all areas of the setting are maintained and developed to provide the best outcomes for our children and families

ii) Ensure and enable excellent delivery of all aspects of the EYFS curriculum in a creative and inspiring way

iii) Ensure the Nursery ethos of helping every child “learn well” is embedded and executed consistently throughout the Nursery and understood by all staff

iv) Strong people leadership and role modelling to motivate the team and ensure effective and efficient deployment of staff in the Nursery

iv) Strong partnership with parents and external agencies to support every child's learning, development and well being

v) Ensure all policies and procedures embedded in the setting; with safeguarding being paramount

vi) Build occupancy to ensure the Nursery is operating at capacity; new children set-up and transitions

vii) Support on all aspects of safeguarding

 

 

Specifically

- ensuring excellent learning & development outcomes for all children, enabling them to achieve their full potential

i) keeping abreast of Ofsted requirements in regard to early years learning and ensuring these are met consistently and pro-active suggestions made to the Area Director to ensure this

ii) Tapestry management - over-seeing and monitoring all children’s observations, assessments, starting point assessments to ensure they are of high quality and issued to parents in a timely way

iii) co-leading oversight and coaching of planning & children’s next steps based on the children’s interests

i) co-leading with the Manager on staff observations, touchbases and reflective practice to ensure every member of staff has a thorough understanding of the EIF and the curriculum

ii) bi-annual QIP review with contribution from whole team and proactivity in making recommendations to drive continual improvement

iii) regular staff meetings to ensure understanding, discuss ideas and address concerns/ issues
