Role Overview:

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered at all times. You will lead a team of dedicated staff, ensuring they are motivated, well-trained, and supported in their roles. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep passion for early years education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the nursery staff, ensuring a high standard of practice across the team.
• Oversee the planning and implementation of a curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community.
• Manage purchases and resources effectively to ensure the sustainability and growth of the nursery.
• Ensure the nursery environment is safe, stimulating, and well-resourced, and meets the needs of all children.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, appraisals, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 5 or above preferred).
• At least 3-4 years of experience in a nursery management role within an early-years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
