Nursery Apprentice – Cookham / Maidenhead Border

£8.32 per hour – 40 hours per week

Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship Provided

Experience in a nursery or childcare setting preferred.

Training & Support

We Will:

• Provide a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship
• Assign a Mentor to support your learning
• Provide time for coursework and regular Progress Reviews

You Must:

• Access your learning weekly (college or online)
• Meet assignment deadlines
• Inform the nursery and provider of any issues with training

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, reliable and positive attitude
• Present yourself smartly with good hygiene
• Communicate clearly with staff, parents and visitors
• Follow instructions, policies, routines and safeguarding procedures
• Maintain confidentiality at all times

Main Tasks

• Work effectively as part of the team
• Support children’s play, learning and wellbeing
• Engage in indoor and outdoor activities
• Keep rooms clean, tidy and safe
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and report hazards
• Help care for and maintain toys and equipment

Essential Qualities

• Passion for working with young children
• Warm, enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Creative, reliable and a good communicator
• Team-focused with a positive attitude
