Role Purpose:
The Deputy Manager at this 61 place nursery holds a key leadership position, working in close partnership with the Nursery Manager to ensure the delivery of outstanding care and education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This is a supernumerary role, allowing the Deputy to remain out of ratio to focus on leadership responsibilities, except when covering for staff absences or other operational needs. The Deputy is instrumental in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining a safe, enriching, and nurturing environment for all children, while providing consistent guidance and support to the staff team.

Qualifications and Essential criteria:
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a senior or supervisory role in an Early Years setting.
• Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and meeting the needs of all children.
