Role Overview:
This is a critical role responsible for leading the mechanical design of E-Houses and electrical skids. The individual will collaborate closely with proposal engineering and lead the mechanical design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design for modular power systems including E-Houses and electrical skids
- Manage and guide a small design team (2–3 engineers/designers)
- Collaborate with proposal engineering to support quoting and technical scope
- Coordinate with third-party design partners when required
- Oversee the mechanical design process from concept through execution
Business Need:
This role is essential to support modular product expansion, specifically around skid and E-House design, and requires strong experience in power systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of mechanical design experience with modular power systems, industrial buildings, or skid-mounted equipment (can flex to ~6 years for strong candidates)
- Demonstrated ownership of mechanical scope for at least two of the following:
- E-Houses / modular electrical buildings
- PDCs
- MV/LV skids
- UPS plants
- Data center power modules
- SolidWorks experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure
- Experience with data center modular power platforms and redundancy/uptime design considerations
