OVERVIEW
Our client, a leading provider of electrical power services, is seeking a Field Service Manager to lead and grow their Testing Department. This individual will be responsible for driving operational performance, managing field teams, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across projects.
This is a leadership role ideal for someone with a strong technical background in electrical testing who is ready to take ownership of team development, safety, and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the Testing Department
- Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors and field technicians (levels 1–4)
- Drive productivity, utilization, and overall team performance
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, HR, and Finance
Technical Oversight
- Provide guidance on electrical testing procedures and standards
- Support field teams, customers, and internal stakeholders with technical expertise
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations
Training & Development
- Lead onboarding, training, and ongoing development of technical staff
- Mentor team members toward certifications and career growth
- Conduct performance reviews and provide continuous feedback
Scheduling & Resource Management
- Optimize scheduling and workforce utilization
- Ensure proper allocation and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Track technician skillsets and align resources accordingly
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Review and approve reports and testing documentation
- Maintain high standards for accuracy and timeliness
- Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions
QUALIFICATIONS
- NETA Level III certification (or higher) strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience in electrical testing or power systems
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures

- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Competitive base salary $130K-$180K (based on experience) (Bonus Eligable)
