Job Opportunity: Group Manager - Electrical Testing & Services (Data Centers)

Position Overview:
As the Group Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team of NICET-certified technicians who provide start-up, commissioning, and electrical testing services for large data center customers in the Washington, D.C. area. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, while ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the services team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and participate in customer meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and negotiate changes to project scopes, ensuring timely and accurate adjustments.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they stay on track.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, electrical specifications, and technical content.
- Coordinate team training to enhance skill sets and fill knowledge gaps.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base library for proposals and presentations.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Manage department budgets (revenue and CapEx), ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Identify resource needs and make decisions related to team composition and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and electrical testing fields.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Deep knowledge of NETA ATS/MTS and NFPA 70E/B.
- Proven field service experience with electrical power systems.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NICET/NETA Level 3 or 4 Certification.
- Familiarity with testing equipment for electrical assets.
- Infrared Thermography certification.
- Experience with Salesforce, Proposify, and Spectrum platforms.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform job walks and site visits, which may involve prolonged periods of time in office settings or on job sites.
