NETA III/IV Technician

We are looking for a Senior Field Technician to join our Electrical Power Solutions team. As a

Senior Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation and testing of

electrical power distribution equipment in the assigned territory. In this role, you will travel

extensively (up to 90% of the time), working both independently and collaboratively with a team.

You will manage and perform tasks ranging from routine to complex projects, analyze test data,

and prepare detailed field service reports. Additionally, you will mentor and supervise Level I, II,

and III NETA-certified trainees and technicians, guiding them in their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

 Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on electrical

systems.

 Supervise and guide trainees, assistants, and technicians in completing electrical testing

duties.

 Mentor and train Level I and II certified NETA trainees and assistant technicians.

 Ensure consistent and high-quality testing across technicians and monitor project scope

completion.

 Maintain, test, repair, and replace low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear and circuit

breakers.

 Troubleshoot and repair automatic transfer switches and test cable installations.

 Maintain and calibrate transformers, relays, motor control centers, and generator control

systems.

 Perform protective relay and control system testing on high-voltage substations.

 Conduct safety analyses, including arc-flash and shock hazard evaluations.

 Document and report test results, providing timely updates to management and clients.

 Maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including lockout/tagout

and hazardous energy control.

 Assist in the sales process by acting as the technical expert in electrical testing and

maintenance.

Qualifications:

 Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting.

 Current NETA Level III or IV, or NICET certification (equivalent experience will be

considered).

 Experience leading a small team and managing medium to large-sized projects.

 Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards and NFPA70E

Electrical Safety standards.

 Skilled in troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies and using digital relay

testing equipment (e.g., SEL 700G).

 Ability to travel regionally and nationally up to 90%.

 Knowledgeable in using testing equipment such as Megger and Omicron is a plus.

 Clean driving record and ability to adhere to safety standards and procedures.

Compensation: Hourly pay range: $62 - $70, based on experience and qualifications.
