Senior Electrical Test Technician (NETA III/IV)

Compensation: $68–$85/hour + Full Benefits

We are representing a small, privately held power services firm in the DFW market with a team of approximately 10 employees. The company is intentionally built lean, allowing experienced technicians to take on meaningful responsibility, operate with autonomy, and directly influence project outcomes.

This is not a layered organization. The team is tight, communication is direct, and leadership is actively involved in the work.

They are seeking a NETA Level III or IV Technician to lead field testing efforts and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead field crews on power systems testing projects (typically 2–30 technicians depending on scope)
  • Manage projects from mobilization through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Perform testing and maintenance on LV, MV, and HV systems, including:
  • Switchgear
  • Circuit breakers
  • Transformers
  • Protective relays
  • Cables
  • Motors and starters
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients
  • Compile, review, and deliver professional test reports
  • Support job walks, estimating efforts, and client interactions as needed
  • Utilize industry-standard testing equipment and reporting platforms (PowerDB or similar)

Qualifications

  • Active NETA Level III or IV certification
  • Demonstrated experience in power systems testing and maintenance across multiple voltage classes
  • Proven ability to lead crews and manage field operations effectively
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerDB or equivalent reporting software
  • Ability to execute both short-duration and extended project work
  • Clear and professional communication skills with both internal teams and clients

Compensation & Benefits

  • $68–$85/hour depending on experience and certification level
  • 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and families
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Sign-on and referral bonus opportunities
  • Paid time off
  • Direct access to leadership and the ability to influence how work gets done

Overview

This role is best suited for a NETA III or IV technician who prefers a high-impact environment over a large corporate structure. You will have visibility, responsibility, and the opportunity to help shape both projects and processes as the company continues to grow.
