Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the power and data center infrastructure space, is seeking a Sales Applications Specialist (Technical Sales Representative) to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to transition into a client-facing role, combining technical expertise with sales and solution development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Solution Development

  • Design and configure electrical systems including control panels, switchboards, panelboards, ATS, UPS, medium voltage equipment, and transformers
  • Develop system layouts and technical proposals with minimal oversight

Value Engineering

  • Recommend cost-effective and performance-optimized solutions
  • Balance technical requirements with project timelines and budgets

Quoting & Documentation

  • Lead quoting for complex and customized projects
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of proposals

Client Engagement

  • Act as a technical advisor throughout the sales process
  • Review project specs and provide tailored recommendations
  • Support client meetings, site visits, and industry events

Project Coordination

  • Manage select projects, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Proactively communicate risks and solutions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, production, and business development teams
  • Support new product lines and market expansion efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong engineering or technical background required
  • 2+ years of sales experience is a plus (not required)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $120,000-$140,000 Per year (Bonus Eligible)
