Chief Marketing Officer (Remote)

Our client has a mission to overcome the Ethereum scalability challenge, their team is dedicated to launching our own L2 solution, a zkRollup that securely scales Ethereum empowering web3 developers to build scalable, secure, and composable applications.


The architecture supports parallel transaction processing across multiple execution shards, each validated by zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and EVM opcode compatibility. Interoperability among these shards is seamlessly maintained through a native cross-shard communication protocol, enabling efficient and secure interactions within the network. This role is a unique opportunity to share the narrative of pioneering blockchain company and network, drive distribution and engagement, and work side-by-side with team leaders.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the organization's marketing strategy, focusing on innovative approaches to drive growth for our early ecosystem. 
  • Lead brand development to increase awareness and establish a differentiated creative direction within the crypto industry. 
  • Build and optimize distribution channels, including events, social media, and content platforms, to effectively reach our target audience.
  • Manage and grow a high-performing marketing team, nurturing talent and skills specific to crypto marketing.
  • Work with the Content Lead to create and execute a content strategy that aligns with our brand and supports our crypto-focused marketing goals.
  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategies for token launches, ecosystem initiatives, and partnership announcements.
  • Cultivate a vibrant community of users, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts, continuously refining strategies based on insights and data.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role within the crypto/Web3 industry, ideally with a focus on community-centric technologies such as public blockchain infrastructure. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to effectively engage with crypto-native audiences.
  • Experience leading and managing teams to execute cross-functional marketing initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative skills, with a track record of developing and implementing marketing campaigns that drive user adoption and ecosystem growth.
  • Experience using digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills.


Nice to have

  • Experience working in a company that has successfully launched a token.
  • Background in developing educational content and thought leadership pieces within the crypto or blockchain industry.
  • Experience leading and managing teams to execute cross-functional marketing initiatives.
  • Terminally online.
