Senior Business Development Manager

Denver, CO (Hybrid)

Position Overview

The company is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Senior Business Development Manager to support growth initiatives across targeted construction and engineering markets. This role focuses on developing new opportunities, strengthening industry relationships, and positioning the organization for long-term success through proactive engagement and market intelligence.

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills while collaborating across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Development

  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop and execute market positioning and growth strategies
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients, design partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Research and pursue new project opportunities through networking, industry participation, targeted outreach, and market monitoring
  • Champion lead generation activities and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities
  • Conduct market research and trend analysis to inform strategic planning

Relationship Management & Opportunity Development

  • Coordinate introductory meetings and presentations with prospective clients
  • Build long-term partnerships through consistent engagement and relationship management
  • Collaborate with project teams to align pursuit strategies and messaging
  • Support development of proposals and early-stage project positioning
  • Maintain accurate tracking of opportunities, outreach activities, and follow-up actions

Collaboration & Operational Support

  • Work cross-functionally with leadership and project teams to support growth initiatives
  • Assist in identifying emerging markets, industry trends, and competitive insights
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members as needed
  • Perform additional duties aligned with business development objectives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related discipline
  • Minimum seven (7) years of business development experience within construction, engineering, or related industries
  • Demonstrated success managing a diverse pipeline of opportunities with strong follow-through and closing capability
  • Solid understanding of construction markets and industry dynamics
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of construction business practices and industry standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tracking tools, and web-based applications
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 10% as needed

Estimated salary range for this role:

$143,000 – $215,000, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
