Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Philadelphia, PA or Columbus, OH)
Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)
Overview:
Client is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to support the planning, design, and analysis of infrastructure and construction projects. This role involves performing geotechnical investigations, developing design solutions, and collaborating with project teams to ensure technical excellence and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical analyses and studies for geohazards such as seismic and karst conditions.
- Plan and perform geotechnical explorations, calculations, and designs for foundations, retaining walls, HDDs, and slope stability.
- Prepare design drawings, specifications, and cost/schedule estimates.
- Review and approve geotechnical designs and reports from consultants.
- Provide field direction and technical guidance to project teams.
- Support the Program Manager in project design, review, and execution.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (MS preferred).
- 3–7 years of relevant geotechnical experience.
- FE required; PE preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and engineering software.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
