Position Overview
A leading infrastructure organization is seeking an experienced Power Generation Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale energy facilities serving hyperscale data center and high-demand industrial applications.
This role will lead execution of fast-track power generation projects involving turbine-based systems and distributed generation assets. The Project Manager will coordinate across EPC partners, engineering teams, utilities, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery throughout the full lifecycle.
Multiple openings available due to active project pipeline expansion.
Location & Travel
- Preferred proximity to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area; flexible throughout the USA for qualified candidates
- Significant travel required depending on residence location (50-80% if outside of SLC area)
- Primary project regions include northern and central Utah
Project Environment
- Facility size range: approximately 250 MW – 300 MW
- Single-cycle generation facilities
- Gas turbine and engine-based generation solutions
- Infrastructure supporting large-scale data center and mission-critical operations
- Multi-year project durations with ongoing expansion opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage planning and execution of power generation construction projects from early development through commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate project execution between EPC contractors, engineering teams, utility partners, and owner stakeholders.
- Oversee schedules, budgets, procurement coordination, risk management, and project reporting.
- Ensure adherence to safety programs, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
- Support installation and integration of major generation equipment and associated balance-of-plant systems.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.
- Provide ongoing communication to senior leadership and key project stakeholders.
Equipment & Technology Exposure
Experience with similar equipment and systems is highly desirable:
- Industrial gas turbine generator packages
- Mid-sized turbine units (~20–40 MW class)
- Modular reciprocating engine power plants (multi-engine configurations exceeding 100 MW total capacity)
- Flexible generation solutions supporting high-load facilities
Representative Project Types
- Utility-connected power generation facilities
- Energy infrastructure supporting hyperscale or mission-critical data center environments
- Multi-year generation buildouts in expanding technology markets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field preferred.
- 7+ years of project management experience within power generation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial construction.
- Demonstrated experience delivering turbine-based or engine-based generation projects.
- Strong understanding of EPC execution models and contractor coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders within complex infrastructure environments.
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites.

- Fast-track or modular power deployment projects.
- Data center power infrastructure or mission-critical facilities.
- Utility-scale or distributed generation systems.
- Commissioning/startup coordination.
