Executive Housekeeper

A family in Orange County seeks a highly skilled and discreet Executive Housekeeper to oversee the daily operations of their private residence. The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, and experienced in managing luxury homes with precision and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain immaculate standards across all areas of the home, including fine furnishings, antiques, and specialty surfaces
· Expert laundering, steaming, seasonal wardrobe rotation, and closet organization
· Lead and train junior housekeepers and vendors to ensure seamless service
· Liaise with service providers, oversee household supplies, and manage deliveries
· Operate and troubleshoot home automation, security, and entertainment systems
· Assist with light meal preparation or coordinate with chefs as needed
· Maintain household manuals, cleaning schedules, and inventory logs
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within households
· Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
· Strong knowledge of luxury cleaning techniques and products
· Tech-savvy with MacOS, Microsoft Office, and smart home platforms
· Discreet, emotionally intelligent, and service-oriented
· Valid driver’s license: preferred flexibility for occasional extended hours
General Responsibilities
· Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the residence
· Perform laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and pressing clothes
· Assist with light meal and snack preparation
· Report directly to the House Manager
· Cover duties of the second housekeeper when absent
Daily Cleaning Tasks
· Clean and tidy main entrance, foyer, living areas, bedrooms, and hallways
· Sanitize all bathrooms across four floors; restock supplies and run faucets in unused bathrooms
· Vacuum, dust, and polish furniture and decorative items
· Organize and maintain secondary rooms (gym, craft room, playroom, wet bar)
· Tidy and clean outdoor patio and garden areas
Weekly Deep Cleaning
· Polish furniture (including outdoor pieces), fixtures, and specialty surfaces
· Deep clean secondary rooms and wet bar
· Clean and restock the outdoor bathroom
Specialized Support
· Assist with pet care as needed
· Support setup, service, and cleanup for special events and gatherings
· Coordinate with other staff to ensure readiness for guests
Communication & Reporting
· Report maintenance issues and supply needs to the Manager
· Follow specific cleaning instructions and preferences
· Notify Manager of any scheduling conflicts or incomplete tasks
