Position:            Part-time Housekeeper

Schedule:          Monday – Friday, 20 – 25 hours per week (ideally 1:00 – 6:00pm but can be flexible; needs to include 4:00 – 6:00pm)

Location:           Westport, CT

Salary:                $35 – 40/hour

Overview:

Active family of four (children ages 6 & 9) is looking for a diligent Part-time Housekeeper to help maintain their Westport, CT home. The candidate must be proactive, attentive, and eager to take on a variety of responsibilities to keep the home running smoothly. Needs to be a self-starter with excellent systematic cleaning, cooking and laundry experience.

Responsibilities:

·      Housekeeping: Responsible for full charge of housekeeping, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting, as appropriate, all floors and household surfaces. Particular attention to kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Weekly deep cleaning.

·      Laundry: Doing general laundry and ironing, including washing, folding and putting away clothes

·      Prepare dinner for family, snacks for kids after school and help with party prep on occasion

·      Run local errands as needed, including grocery shopping (car will be provided)

·      Drive children to and from after school activities as needed (between 4-6pm)

·      Occasional childcare support, including one evening a week of babysitting for a date night

Requirements:

·      Honest, discreet and trustworthy

·      Professional, good listener, able to follow directions, and proactive

·      Proficient with English language

·      Must drive and have own car

·      Desired but optional: be able to swim and supervise children when using pool
