Property: Single-floor apartment, approx. 4,000 sq ft | 2 principals | 1 dog

OVERVIEW

A private couple in New York City is seeking a discreet, highly capable Part-Time Housekeeper to provide coverage on Sundays and Mondays, the days their full-time Housekeeper/House Manager is off. This is an opportunity to join a polished, professionally run household where excellence, self-sufficiency, and a quiet work ethic are key. For the right candidate, there is genuine potential for expanded hours over time.

The principals lead busy professional lives and require a housekeeper who operates with independence, minimal interruption, and strong attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Laundry & Garment Care

–   Laundry, drying, folding, and organization of clothing and household linens

–   Careful handling and pressing/ironing of garments, including designer and luxury pieces

–   Knowledge of fabric types and appropriate care methods for high-end clothing

–   Towel refresh and linen changes as needed

Daily Cleaning & Maintenance

–   Maintain overall cleanliness and order of the apartment throughout the day

–   Daily tidying, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface care

–   Kitchen and bathroom cleaning and sanitization

–   Trash removal and general household upkeep

REQUIREMENTS

–   Housekeeping: 5+ years of housekeeping experience in a formal or semi-formal private household.

–   Laundry & Garment Care: Highly skilled in handling delicate and designer clothing. You press and iron with skill and care, and understand how to treat delicate fabrics.

–   Proactive & Self-Directed: You identify what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked.

–   Discreet & Professional: You understand that the principals require a quiet work environment and you take pride in working without interruption or unnecessary conversation.

–   Reliable & Looking to Commit: You are dependable, punctual, and are seeking a long-term position. The principals value continuity and are looking for someone who will grow with the household

–   Comfortable around dogs.
