Director, Investor Relations


Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and highly motivated Director, Investor Relations to lead the development and execution of our investor relations program. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will serve as a key liaison between the company, shareholders, analysts, institutional investors, and the broader financial community.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in communicating the company's strategy, operational performance, growth initiatives, and value proposition while supporting capital markets activities and enhancing shareholder engagement. This position requires a strong understanding of public markets, financial analysis, and a genuine passion for the energy and materials sectors.


Key Responsibilities

Investor & Analyst Engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, shareholders, and other members of the investment community.
  • Coordinate and participate in investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, site visits, and earnings-related activities.
  • Respond to investor and analyst inquiries in a timely, professional, and informed manner.
  • Monitor shareholder composition, investor sentiment, and market perceptions of the company.

Corporate Communications & Messaging

  • Develop and refine investor presentations, corporate materials, fact sheets, and shareholder communications.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling communication of the company's strategy, financial performance, operational milestones, and growth initiatives.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, management discussion points, and investor-focused disclosures.
  • Help articulate the company's investment thesis and long-term value creation strategy to the market.

Capital Markets & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, trading activity, analyst models, peer performance, and valuation metrics.
  • Monitor industry developments, commodity markets, and competitive positioning within the energy and materials sectors.
  • Prepare briefing materials, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Support financing initiatives, equity offerings, debt transactions, and other capital markets activities as required.

Reporting & Disclosure

  • Support the preparation and review of public disclosures, including earnings releases, MD&A, annual reports, investor presentations, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable securities regulations and disclosure requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams to ensure accurate and timely communication to stakeholders.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on investor expectations, shareholder engagement, and capital markets trends.
  • Contribute to the development of the company's overall capital markets strategy and investor positioning.


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate Development, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting a publicly traded company or advising public companies through investment banking, equity research, or capital markets roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and investor communications.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional designation.
  • Experience within the energy, natural resources, mining, materials, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Existing relationships within the institutional investment community.
  • Experience interacting with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
  • Knowledge of Canadian and/or U.S. securities regulations and disclosure requirements.
