Electronics Assembler


Location: Near St Neots

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm (1-hour lunch on site)

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 per year


The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Electronics Assembler to join a busy and growing production team. This role is ideally suited to someone with hands-on skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will be involved in assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality, performance, and safety standards.

While prior experience in assembly or a manufacturing environment is beneficial, full training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and systems in line with technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly tasks.
  • Conduct functional testing and calibration of products to verify performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, test results, and quality checks.
  • Work closely with engineers, quality teams, and colleagues to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, particularly when handling electrical or gas components.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing roles preferred but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or gas systems is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Confident using hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Good manual dexterity for working with small components.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (minimum requirement).
