ethree Consulting is proud to partner with Campia Gymnastics in their search for a full-time Executive Director.


Who we are

Operating in Mount Pearl, for over 35 years, Campia Gymnastics is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping children and youth build strong movement foundations through the sport of gymnastics. Through both competitive and recreational programs, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, supportive environment where participants of all ages and abilities feel welcome.


What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the senior operational leader of Campia Gymnastics. This pivotal leadership opportunity will provide strategic direction, leadership, operational oversight, and governance for all aspects of Campia; elevating programs, deepening community impact, and positioning Campia for long-term growth and sustainability. You will support our members and stakeholder needs while aligning with Campia’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives.


As Executive Director, working in close partnership with the board of directors, head coaches, and staff you will drive strategy and oversee all facets of operations, from competitive and recreational programs to financial stewardship, funding development, and member engagement. As the most senior leader, you lead, inspire, and develop staff, building a high-performing team equipped to deliver results. Highly accountable and outcomes-focused, you build strong relationships with members, government, sponsors, and the broader community to grow Campia’s reach and impact.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Strategic Planning, Management and Governance

  • Provide strategic oversight and direction across all Campia’s programs and activities, managing day-to-day operations to ensure an efficient, high-functioning, and growing organization.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational bylaws, provincial and national sport regulations, and legal requirements.


Financial Management and Operational Oversight

  • Oversee budgets, financials, reporting and funding, ensuring transparency and control of expenditures within the organization.
  • Strong financial, operational, and governance knowledge, including policy development and implementation.


Membership and Stakeholder Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Gymnastics Newfoundland and Labrador (GNL), other clubs, sponsors, parents, members, and community organizations.

 

Human Resources

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, collaborative and high-performing workplace culture that recruits, retains, and supports quality staff.
  • Support the professional development and leadership growth of staff and volunteers.


Office Management and Administration

  • Oversee office operations, contracts, insurance, inventory, and organizational assets to ensure effective administrative systems, policies and procedures are in place.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Recreation Management or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
  • 7-10+ years’ leadership experience, preferably in non-profit, sport-related or community organizations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and building an effective and respectful workplace.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, payroll and financial management.
  • Experience with program management and event coordination.
  • Fundraising experience, including grants and sponsorships.
  • Passion for sport, physical literacy, and working in child and youth centered environments.
  • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of gymnastics or amateur sport is considered an asset.
