Who We Are
The Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association (NLMA) is a member-based organization that serves as the collective voice for more than 2,000 physician members practicing in hospitals, community clinics, long-term care facilities, and academic settings, as well as medical learners and those who have retired from the profession. As a member-driven, non-profit organization, we represent the political, clinical, and economic interests of the medical profession and advocate for equitable access to quality care for all.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director, Member Relations and Engagement is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization’s member relations function, with a strong focus on member engagement, trust-building, and responsive support. This includes assessing capacity requirements, developing service models and workflows, implementing service standards, and supporting the growth of the team over time to ensure members receive timely, responsive, and high-quality support.
Your leadership will allow you to bring a strategic, innovative mindset and shape the member relations function from the ground up. You are energized by the opportunity to create something new, translating vision into practical systems and processes that strengthen the member experience and position the Association to meet the evolving needs of physicians, residents, and medical students.
